MIAMI – A wet start to the weekend with some showers and thunderstorms moving across parts of South Florida Friday morning.

A heat warning was not issued for today because we would not meet the criteria and it would not be quite as hot and humid due to more rain and cloud cover.

Highs will climb to around 90 degrees on Friday, and in Broward and Miami-Dade counties it will feel like 90+ degrees instead of the 100s we've experienced over the past week. In the Florida Keys, temperatures will still feel like triple digits, but the heat index won't be as high as it has been in recent days.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon due to high humidity, with some heavy downpours and localized flooding. Rain chances decrease this weekend as drier air moves in.

Although showers and thunderstorms are still possible in the Keys on Saturday, Miami-Dade and Broward will be drier with only isolated thunderstorms.

The maximum temperatures remain hot for the time of year at just over 35 degrees Celsius, but it feels like just over 35 degrees Celsius.
