Suns tease Warriors fans with social media post announcing 2024 NBA schedule – NBC Sports Bay Area & California

The Phoenix Suns wasted no time in reigniting their rivalry with the Warriors.

In a post on X, the website formerly known as Twitter, about the NBA’s 2024-25 schedule, Phoenix outperformed Golden State fan base by suggesting that Warriors supporters are followers.

While the Warriors have certainly gained many new fans through their dynastic development, a once-suffering group of loyal Golden State supporters will likely resent being labeled as followers.

Before the arrival of Steph Curry and the subsequent championship win, Warriors fans were widely considered to be among the best in the NBA, earning Oracle Arena the popular nickname “Roaracle” due to the loud crowds at Golden State's home games.

There have been some heated arguments between the Warriors and the Suns over the past few seasons, and the relationship between the two Western Conference franchises has not been friendly.

Tensions between Phoenix and Golden State reached a boiling point during the 2023–24 season after Draymond Green punched Suns center Jusuf Nurkić, resulting in an indefinite suspension for the Warriors forward.

Green and Nurkić continued to attack each other on social media, and now it seems Phoenix's social media team is getting in on the act.

Between Green's feud with Nurkić and the everlasting connection to Kevin Durant, there will be no shortage of storylines when these two teams face off for the first time during the 2024–25 NBA season on Nov. 30 in Phoenix.
