Dragon Age: The Veilguard release date leaked

Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare's long-awaited next entry in its fantasy role-playing series, will be released on October 31st.

This is evident from an early version of today's release trailer, which has already appeared online.

It's been a long wait for BioWare fans – only a month has passed since Dragon Age: Inquisition in 2014, almost a decade – but now it's only a month and a half until the next chapter in the saga.

BioWare will officially date Dragon Age: The Veilguard tonight, with the trailer set to drop at 5pm UK time. Judging by the trailer's cover image, it's a longer glimpse – including some custom versions of the game's protagonist, Rook – than the short video now circulating.

Yesterday, BioWare unveiled a marketing roadmap for the October 31st release of The Veilguard, which includes sneak peeks at the game's sophisticated combat systems and PC version next week, while the week after that will focus on unveiling the game's companion version.

Meanwhile, on August 30th, BioWare will hold a developer Q&A session via Discord.

“Just say it, but Dragon Age: The Veilguard makes me think the unthinkable: it looks like BioWare is back,” wrote Chris Tapsell, who was impressed by Eurogamer's first review of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
