If we talk about the best RPGs of all time, then CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt must be thrown into the mix.

Originally released in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt received critical acclaim, praising its story, world exploration, combat, and great graphics. In short, the popular RPG has all the ingredients a fan of the genre could want.

Check out the trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt below!

“You are Geralt of Rivia, a monster-fighting mercenary. Before you lies a war-torn, monster-infested continent that you can explore at your leisure. Your current mission? The search for Ciri – the child of prophecy, a living weapon that can change the world,” says the game's synopsis.

Then in December 2022 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has made an even better game thanks to its free next-gen update for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. However, this update not only improved the graphics and performance, but also added new story missions, cosmetics, and much more.

So if for some reason you have never played The Witcher 3 and if you subscribe to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus, you can play this fantastic RPG next week at no extra cost. And if you play on PS5, it also includes the free next-gen update mentioned above.

The PS Plus Extra and Premium offers from August 2024 also include the TimeSplitters trilogy, Cult of the Lamb, Watchdogs 2 and more. There's a lot of good stuff going on this month, including even a number of titles from a popular JRPG series. Still, CDPR's RPG may be the best choice for many.

All new PS Plus Extra and Premium titles will be available on Tuesday, August 20th. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
