Life-size Polly Pocket Airbnb in Massachusetts can now be booked

A Polly Pocket-themed property in Littleton, Massachusetts, will begin welcoming guests to the 42-foot “compact house” in September.

Airbnb took inspiration from the little doll and colorful playset to celebrate the toy's 35th anniversary.

The “host” of the compact box decorated in shades of pink and purple is Polly’s personal “hostess”.

“Essentially, I've turned my Pajama Party Fun Package into a time machine where you can let your imagination run wild. Because there is no greater adventure than the one you create for yourself,” the booking listing says.

Features include Polly's vanity with hair and nail accessories in her favorite colors, retro-style appliances and various activities, according to an Airbnb press release.

The homestay booking company is introducing the nostalgic stay as part of its Airbnb Icons, which offer experiences with the “biggest names in music, film, TV, art, sports and more.”

Guests of four can make custom charm bracelets, play dress-up games and enjoy 90s snacks.

“Try on doll life in Polly's closet, where her most iconic retro looks are waiting to be worn in fun hues and shiny silhouettes in the popular signature rubber texture,” the press release said.

The toy was originally designed in 1983 by Chris Wiggs for his daughter Kate by building a small dollhouse in an old makeup tin, according to Architectural Digest.

Polly Pocket was released in 1989 and is currently owned by Mattel.

The compactness is exposed to nature and the listing states: “My compactness cannot be closed because, just like me, it is always open for adventure.”

Fans of the nostalgic playset shared their reactions on social media.

“I’m seriously considering buying an old Polly Pocket,” said one woman on X.

“I can't believe someone made a Polly Pocket Airbnb. I would have loved that back then,” wrote another woman.

“The little girl in me would SCREAM because I had that Polly Pocket,” said another.

Another X user seemed to have concerns about the practicality of the stay.

“This is not an Airbnb, not a place to sleep or eat. Looks like someone literally zoomed in on a clean Polly Pocket,” the user wrote.

Several X-users asked what guests should do if it rains, since the case doesn't close like the original Polly Pocket toy.

Fans can book an overnight stay in Polly Pocket's compact cabin from August 21 to 28.

The compact car sleeps four guests and costs $89 per person per night, FOX 13 in Salt Lake City reported.
