Leaks show that the Galaxy S24 FE could be a flagship rather than a budget one

The Galaxy FE series has always been a budget option for those who want Samsung's best designs with a few compromises. This year, leaked specs suggest the Galaxy S24 FE will pack more weight than in the past.

The Galaxy S24 series is Samsung's most expensive lineup. It offers small changes in design and processing power over the previous generation, but it's a change nonetheless. The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to offer a very similar experience, with identical looks and cost-cutting measures under the hood.

According to new leaks, the Galaxy S24 FE will have a 6.7-inch display that can reach 120 Hz (via Android Headlines). It is said to be able to reach a peak brightness of 1,900 nits, which is on par with Google's A-series. For comparison, the Galaxy S24+ has the same display size, making the S24 FE larger than the base Galaxy S24 model at 6.2 inches. The leaks don't seem to say anything about the resolution.

The information revealed says that the new FE phone will have a 4,565mAh battery rated for 29 hours of video playback and 78 hours of audio. This will power the Exynos 2400e, which Samsung credits with powering some of its most popular AI features.

The leak lists Portrait Studio, Circle to Search, Generative Edit, Sketch to Image, and Live Translate as Galaxy AI features coming to the S24 FE. We recently reported on Samsung's plans to bring Galaxy Ai to older and new A-series devices, suggesting that the company is working on equipping these phones with powerful hardware. The Galaxy S24 FE will be no different and should utilize the majority of Samsung's Ai feature set.

The Galaxy S24 FE is also said to come with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8MP unit with 3x optical zoom. Samsung has been improving the camera processing a bit lately, and it will be interesting to see how well the Fan Edition S24 handles images.

There is no price for the Galaxy S24 FE yet, but we can expect it to be more expensive than the S23 FE, which costs $599. Each of Samsung's flagships seems to have increased in price by about $100, and we expect the S24 FE to be no different.
