CSIR UGC NET 2024: Provisional Answer Key released at csirnet.nta.ac.in, direct link to download here | Competitive Exams

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the Joint CSIR UGC NET 2024 today, August 9. Candidates who have appeared in the exam can download the answer key from the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

To download the Joint CSIR UGC NET Answer Key, candidates need to enter their application number and date of birth in the space provided.

The NTA wrote in its notification, “The National Testing Agency has uploaded the provisional answer keys along with the question papers with recorded answers on the website for the purpose of inviting objections (if any) against the provisional answer key for each question ONLINE only. The procedure for objection against the answer key is contained in Annexure I.”

According to the schedule, the window for submitting challenges will be open from August 9 to 11, 2024, at 11:50 p.m.

Applicants must also pay a non-refundable processing fee of 200 to challenge the answer key. The last date for payment of fees is August 11, 2024.

According to NTA, the objections raised by the candidates will be reviewed by a panel of subject matter experts. If a candidate's objection is found to be valid, the answer key will be revised and reflected accordingly in the answers of all candidates.

The result will be prepared and announced based on the revised final answer key, the NTA said.

It is pertinent to mention here that the CSIR UGC NET 2024 exam was conducted on July 25, 26 and 27, 2024. The exam on July 25 and 26 was conducted in two shifts – first shift from 9 am to 12 pm and second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.

In an official statement released today, the NTA said the exam was conducted for 225,335 candidates in “348 examination centres in 187 cities across the country through the Computer Based Test (CBT) method”.

In addition, the test consisted of three parts, all of which were objective multiple-choice questions. There was no break between the parts of the exam.

Notably, NTA has conducted the joint CSIR UGC NET examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor/PhD in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in July 2024.
